A farmstead built in 1815, near Cooperstown, founded by the father of James Fenimore Cooper, author of ‘Last of the Mohicans’. It is a beautiful county with many Italianate and Greek revival farmhouses that have fallen into disrepair. This farm was no exception, being totally uninhabitable, when it was first purchased. It has undergone many changes in its history, but all the recent ones are in keeping with its character, making it a real family home.
